introduction to medifast weight loss

Introduction
You are about to embark on what may be (assuming you are successful) the biggest challenge of your life.
As I write this I am watching “Survivorman” on the Discovery Channel. I’m realizing the desire to
achieve a weight-loss goal is as difficult of a battle as it is to survive in the desert for a week with no food,
water or shelter. It’s like boot camp. It’s tough...rugged...lonely...painful. You have to want success bad
enough to endure the pain. And believe me...nearly every waking hour will produce some pain.
That’s some introduction, huh? But, it’s reality. The first leg of your journey is to stare reality right in the
face. There are many ways to attempt weight loss. There is only one way to success: Sheer Determination.
Do you really have enough of it to make it through? Can you say, “NO”? Are you tough enough?
Can you take the pain?

About 95-percent of Americans are over-weight. What does that tell you? Our “normal” eating routines
simply don’t work. In one home, mom said it was time for dinner and everyone runs to the garage and
gets in the car! That cannot work.
Not only are you out to drop pounds now, but the long-term key is to keep the weight off.
Does it make any sense to work so hard to lose the pounds, only to return to the same eating patterns that
packed them on? Of course not. You have to change your total mentality and behavior toward
food...forever.
Your very life may depend on it.
